The heart of our approach

Moving forward doesn’t mean
leaving someone behind.

There is no fixed timetable for grief. Our developing practice is grounded in honoring your story, making room for what has changed, and reconnecting with what matters to you.

A river, a memory, a lasting love

A personal beginning.
A compassionate purpose.

I’m Brandon Smith, founder of Mended Roots & Moving Waters. This project grew from my experience of loss and the lasting influence of my sister, Laura.

One treasured memory is floating down the Chattahoochee River together, surrounded by nature and laughter. That connection helped inspire a name that holds both remembrance and the possibility of what comes next.

My intention is to build a practice where people can honor what they carry and explore their next steps at their own pace.

01 / HONOR

Your story matters.

Each relationship, loss, and life transition has its own meaning. There is room for your experience.

02 / CHOICE

Your pace matters.

No forced gratitude, prescribed timeline, or expectation to feel a certain way.

03 / CONNECTION

Love can come with you.

Remembering someone and making space for your own life can exist together.

Thoughtfully taking shape

A beginning worth preparing for.

We’re working toward offering virtual, non-clinical grief and life-transition coaching for adults across the United States.
